4 DAYS LEFT

My family and I are going to Georgia on Tuesday and let me tell you.....I CANNOT WAIT!! We are going to see my boyfriend graduate his basic training for the army. His name is Tayler and he is a infantry medic. It is a very scary job to do but I know he will be great at it. We have been only dating for a couple of months but we have known each other since we were around 8 or 9 years old. Funny story on how we met....we were at our dad's military ball in Idaho and we were each others "first" crush :) Then my dad moved in next to his family and we hung out every weekend that my dad had me. I guess our parents were stationed together in Alaska but I dont remember it since I was just a baby. Our families have known each other for a very long time.

Anyways, Tayler left for basic on I think January 3rd. Before he left we talked on the phone, text and talked on skype every day. He was living in Maryland before he left. We haven't seen each other in person for a long time but seriously I feel like I just haven't seen him a couple months. Skype is AMAZING! It felt like we were just hanging out with each other when we were talking to each other on it. I am excited to see him. At first it felt like March 16th wasnt going to get here soon enough but then after the first month the time just flew by. I loved it! I think since school started back up it helped. A LOT!

Tayler and I were suppose to write each other a lot while he was there but since fort benning is so strict he was only able to write me one letter the whole 9 weeks. I wrote him quite a bit but I was ok with it. When he told me in his letter that everytime they call his name during mail call it would make his day, that made me so happy. I have talked to many friends who have been to basic and said that those letters are the only thing that keep you sane when you are in there. I can't imagine going through that. They are so hard and rough on you.

I miss him sooo much! He is amazing though I just have to say! Even though he was at  basic he still manage to get flowers sent to me on valentines day...oh and chocolates too :)
